Deodorant with Lavender (Serves 4 oz jar)

1/4 cup Shea butter

2 Tabl  coconut oil

3 heaping Tbl beeswax  ( I use the small pellets)

3 Tbl baking soda

2 Tbl arrowroot powder/ or substitute with cornflower

20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

10 drops of Tee tree ESsential Oil

In a double broiler or bowl placed in pan of water over medium heat, bring the water to slightly boil.

Add the Shea butter and Coconut oil to the top bowl . Once she Butter and coconut oil melt add the beeswax and stir until all ingredients are liquid.  Remove the bowl from heat and quickly add the arrowroot and baking soda. Add the essential oils stirring to combine all ingredients.

pour the deodorant into a 4 oz Mason jar.

The deodorant will solidify as it cools.  I use about a Dime size amount and just rub under arms and its not sticky and smells good!

Enjoy this Healthy Natural deodorant without all the chemicals!

  1. I use this same recipe for my own deodorant with the exception of shea butter. I also use jasmine oil and it is really a great deodorant! I may have to get some shea butter and try it with it. Thanks so much!!

  2. This is amazing–I have never even thought to make deodorant, but I love this! When I’m out of my current one, I’ll be making my own for sure. I have a lot of these ingredients at home already, so no sense in dropping $$$ for a store-bought natural deodorant!
